The bottom line reflection

This last chapter had taught me a lot about what businesses do for the public schools. On page 174 in the third paragraph, it states that “Business interest in schools has largely involved private individuals and groups drawn from a variety of large, middle-sized, small businesses.” That stood out to me because I did not know businesses were donating to the schools. The reformers strongly believed that the schools should be modeled after the corporation and marketplace. Within the United States businesses had involvement in public schools. The reasoning is because they wanted to change the school goals, governance, management, organization, and curriculum.  It isn’t a secret that businesses donating to public schools has changed a lot in the classroom.
